2005 Australian Gold $100 Dancing Man 1 Ounce Gold Coin

In 2005 the Perth Mint produced a 1oz gold coin to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the end of WWII.

"Dancing Man" Design

The reverse of the coin features a lenticular image, containing multiple frames of the 'dancing man' taken from newsreel footage. When you tilt the coin it produces a movie-like sequence showing him twirling and tipping his hat.

The obverse is the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

The coin is issued only as a proof and comes in a capsule.
