British Gold Coin Proof Sets1992 Gold Sovereign Proof SetThe 1992 gold proof set features the third portrait of the Queen, as used from 1985 to 1997 inclusive on most British coins, but it is only the third 4 coin gold proof set, the first being 1985, to share this obverse design together with the classic Saint George and Dragon reverse design. The issue quantity was less than a quarter of the 1985 issue. The issue limit placed on the 1992 set was 1,250 and only 1,165 were issued. The medallion included in the 1992 sets has a monkey on the reverse to mark the Chinese lunar year of the monkey.Specifications
