Mostly the gold bars we sell are intended purely as an investment in gold, and we do not guarantee to supply any specific make of bar, however we get many requests for specific makes or styles of bar for gifts or collectors, and so we try to provide these as an extra service. Swiss Bank Corporation - Multi-Lingual Gold Bars

There are four official languages in Switzerland, German, French, Italian, and Romantsch. Some of the Swiss Bank Corporation bars are stamped in up to four languages, probably making them the world's most multi-lingual gold bullion bars. The languages on the bars do not normally include Romansch, which is only spoken by less than 1% of the population, but in Englich, which is probably spoken by around half the population. This also reflects the fact that the bank has different versions of its name in the different languages.
It is worthwhile repeating here the inscriptions on one of the bars shown: SCHWEIZERISHCER BANKVEREIN

On this bar there is also a logo of three crossed keys with the date 1872.
On the reverse side of this bar is a letter "S" within a hexagon inside a triangle, a bird within a seven sided shield, hoilding what looks like a key in its beak, with the letters O and S.

The kilo bar is also stamped MP for Metaux Precieux, and SBS, which are the intiials of the bank in bothe French and Italian.

Certificates are unnecessary, or should be unnecessary, for gold bullion bars.
These usually state their weight and fineness, being stamped on them, and are generally difficult to fake.
