Copyright Theft is Dishonest - Can You Trust This Site?
Using other people's copyright images is illegal, it is dishonest, and it is unethical. Using the hard work of a fellow dealer or website owner to sell the same goods or advice in competition with him demonstrates an extremely low standard of ethics. We would not recommend anybody to transact business with this person or company.

What's Wrong?
Grand Red Antiques Andre Neves Bento are using at least one of our high quality copyright coin and gold bar photographs on a number of their web pages, including their "Facebook" page, (shown here), and others.
This image is our copyright property, and is being used without our permission.
Who would have thought such honest and respectable people would resort to stealing images from their competitors?

Not Only Dishonest, Not Only Abusive, But Also Stupid
We received the following e-mail:

Who Is Andre Neves Bento?
Up to receiving this e-mail we had never heard of him.
It's not unusual for eBay copyright thieves to omit important information such as their name, or eBay ID, when e-mailing us, Andre Neves Bento was typical and failed to reveal his eBay username. Normally, this would cause us no problem, as we add every one to an eBay copyright thieves name and shame page. We have three of these, one on each of our main websites. A search on all three failed to find the item number he quoted. Although this is unusual, it can happen. Although we prefer to report eBay copyright violations from one of the computers in our office, sometimes we use a computer at home, or a notebook computer when travelling. We checked our e-mails systems on all three of these computers for a copyright abuse report to eBay. We drew a blank.
Up to now, we had omitted to name and shame this particular eBay crook, and if he had kept quiet, we would have known nothing about it, and he would have escaped from the free, if adverse, publicity we give to the dishonest people who choose to steal our copyright photographs.
We checked eBay, and failed to find a possbile match for his name or e-mail address. eBay's advanced search did locate a member using his e-mail address, but would not let us access the information or pages we wanted, as it could not find any recent bidding activity between us (typical eBay self-interest).
We used our old friend Google, and soon found entries for Grand Red Antiques in Portimão, Faro, Portugal, and Grão Vermelho Antiguidades Lda, on different sites.
Further Google searches turned up a facebook entry for Grão Vermelho Metais, and a picture gallery which contained a familiar photograph, that of a one kilogramme Degussa gold bullion bar, so we managed to catch the lying b*****d red-handed.
We show the page, together with our original photograph.
