US Gold $20 Double Eagles
We recently bought in these two "slabbed" double eagles. Both coins had a Morgan Mint box and certificate. Although this is not a company we have come across before, they strike us as being a similar company to Westminster.
Most coin dealers are happy to have the coin by itself, some "coin collectors" are only happy to buy coins that are supplied with a box and certificate.
The coins featured on this page have been "slabbed", perhaps to make them appear as if they have been graded by an independent coin grading service.
Information about Double Eagles
Historically American gold eagles are $10 gold coins, and double eagles are $20 gold coins, issued between 1849 and 1933. Please don't confuse them with the modern gold eagle bullion coins made since 1986, and containing one ounce of gold, and fractions of one ounce.
