Perhaps we should be flattered by the number of people including dealers who continually infringe our IP (Intellectual Property) rights by using our copyright images, but we do not find it amusing, and will take legal action against any copyright thieves.
4EverGold 4 Ever Gold of Illinois (4evergold.com)
4EverGold Robin Friedley (4evergold.com) of Branson & Springfield, Missouri are just one of the many coin dealers worldwide who commit copyright theft by using our copyright images without our permission.
They have used a number of our high quality copyright coin photographs, to use on their own website in direct competition with us.
On their Products page, they have used our high quality copyright photograph of a 2007 One Ounce Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coin, stolen from one of our websites.
Home Page
On 4EverGold's "Home" page, at first, we could find nothing particularly informative about the company. There is a central scrolling window however, which at first sight appears to be simply a repeat of its "Products" page. We scrolled down it, and were surprised to almost find
an address. As it is produced using Flash, it is alamost impososible to copy it to reproduce here.
The site design is atrocious, and the scroll window has to be scrolled horizontally and vertically to be able to view all the items, even on a 1920 x 1200 resolution monitor.
Eventually, we also noticed more of our images being stolen on the 4evergold.com site, including:

4EverGold's "About Us" page tells us next to nothing about them. It does claim to be operated by an Illinois corporation, but fails to state any registration number. It also fails to give an address. We could find no trace of it being registered with the state of Illinois:
4EVERGOLD Inc. is an Illinois corporation in good standing with the Secretary of State’s office in Illinois. 4EVERGOLD has offices in Chicago and Taiwan.
4EVERGOLD was founded to cater to a specific market, the procurement of Bullion and investment grade gold and silver coins.
The principal remembers the personal stories of her childhood that attested to the power of gold. The principal’s father throughout WW2 fought in China with the army of Chiang Kai-Shek on the side of the Allies. Paper assets were not trusted so he carried his personal wealth in the form of solid gold coins stitched into his Sam Browne belt .He told stories of cutting off pieces of gold to pay for food. Likewise his family in Taiwan told stories of the chaos in Taiwan caused when Japan was defeated, Japan had been in control of Taiwan for decades and suddenly all Japanese currency and paper assets were rendered worthless. We have noticed a significant number of copyright thieves hiding behind organisations designed to help them stay anonymous, like the shady dealers they are.
Domains by Proxy, Inc claims to exist to help individuals from having their names and addresses made public, which we believe is probably fair. Nominet in the UK allow private non-trading individuals to withhold their address details. However, it is obvious that there must be many individuals who wish to avoid publication of their details for other reasons.
There are many reasons we could imagine which would make it desirable for individuals to conceal their identity and whereabouts, including being criminals, terrorists, copyright abusers, child pornographers.
Domains by Proxy appear to be equally happy to protect these undesirable elements of our society. They do publish a "Subpoena Policies" page on their website, which states that they charge the enquirer or complainant for "compliance costs", which we believe could be an attempt to obstruct anybody with legal reasons for wishing to know the identity of domain registrants.
Why Anonymous?
We ask ourselves why any honest or reputable coin or bullion dealer would choose to remain almost anonymous, and to hide its whereabouts from all. It has chosen to hide itself away behind the skirts of "Domains by Proxy"
We thouroughly distrust any such so-called dealer, and would advise any potential customers to keep well clear of 4evergold.com; how and where would you contact them to get your money or your coins back?
