Obverse

The coins in each set all share a common obverse design, featuring the fourth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, curated by Ian Rank Broadley.

Reverse

The reverse designs for the 2008 Royal Mint, Royal Shield of Arms Proof Set, when arranged properly depict the namesake of the set, the Royal Shield of Arms.

The Emblems of Britain Set however, shows the same designs that had up to this point graced the obverse of coinage for the last 40 years.
