We bought this coin and we have not yet fully identified it, if you can beat us to it, we will buy you a pint. Although we can identify most coins instantly on sight, and fully identify others with a few minutes research or reference, there are others which we do not instantly recognise, and which need more time consuming work. We tend to put these aside until we have enough spare time, but this can mean that it gets almost indefinitely postponed as we tend to be busy, and never get enough spare time. If you fancy a challenge, and would like to beat us to it, then have a go.

Reverse the Trend
All day every day, we get telephone calls from people expecting us to be able to identify and value their coins, unseen, from a telephone description, at no charge. We decided to turn the tables, and invite the rest of the world to do our work for us. Of course, we don't expect you to do it for nothing, so we are offering a bounty for each coin correctly identified, even if its only a beer.

Update
On the 1st June 2010 we received an email from Didier Bizzarri, Belgium who provided us the with the alloy of this coin (0.750 fineness), subsequently we have calculated the gold content and now updated our information table.
