Issue LimitIt appears that the mintage, the quantity of these sets issued is not known for certain. There was a 5,000 issue limit announced, together with limits of 15,000 of the gold proof £5 coin, 55,000 proof sovereigns, and 250,000 silver proof crowns, all these quantities including those included in the complete 9-coin set.It is known that the mintage of the gold £5 coin was 5,400 pieces, which presumably includes those issued in the set. If we assume that the sets sold in the same proportion as the £5 coins, this would indicate about 1,800 sets issued. Unfortunately, the certificates accompanying the sets are not numbered.
