A small sovereign-sized medallion commemorating the centenary of Churchill's birth.
Obverse
Portrait of Churchill, surrounded by legend:-

Reverse
The design on the reverse shows a number of artefacts and implements which were associated with Churchill, all superimposed on that looks like a representation of the Cross of St. George:
A ceremonial sword, signifying he was a a Knight of the Garter.
A quill pen, inkstand, blotter, and open book. Churchill was a reknowned author, and 1953 winner of a Nobel Prize for Literature.
A trowel. Churchill was a freemason.
A scroll, probably a diploma. He held a number of honorary doctorates.
An academic cpa with plumes. He was rector or chancellor of at least three unversities.
Brush stands. Chuchill was a keen artist.
The whole of the reverse is surrounded by a garter, as in the Order of the Garter, with its inscription:
